How Are They Made?
Pure Vermont Maple candy is made by further cooking Vermont maple syrup without adding any other ingredients. The syrup is heated to approximately 243 degrees Fahrenheit, stirred until it begins to crystalize, then poured into molds to harden.
Pure Vermont Granulated Sugar is produced by super heating the syrup (to about 260 degrees Fahrenheit) until it "explodes" into dry crumbs!
The"Maple Blend" hard candies are produced by cooking Vermont maple syrup together with another sweet syrup ( eg.-corn syrup), then pouring the mixture into molds to harden.
